OK yea we can pry kick twist and soap the tire to get it to slide in but how about Plastic.

RedST05 took the pictures of his install after I showed him this little trick. Make sure to angle the tire so it gets past the center of the right drive. You can also put plastic on that side to make it easy to put the darkside on a ABS to.

Photo #2 shows the plastic folded in half and being slid in.

Photo #3 shows the tire starting to slide by the swing arm.

photo #4 shows almost all the way in.

photo #5 shows the plastic falling away as the tire rolls in.

No I'm no pro at this stuff just had no soap when I went to install mine.

Just get one without ABS and it will slide right in!

The Dan. Wonderful trick. I never would have thought of this on my own.
This works great for getting the tire past the swing arm/ ABS sensor mount.
I did Hankook 205/50/ZR17 deflated but I think it will work with an inflated tire.

This needs a read by all you darksiders out there.

Or those paper thin cutting mats that they sell at the dollar stores- reuseable and useful elsewhere.

You can gain another inch of room by loosening the four nuts that bolt the "drive pumpkin" to the swing arm. Loosen them up a half inch or abouts. Install the axle snugged up to regain rear alignment across rear axle axis then tighten the nuts back up.
